Once the tree is slain we then have to get it home and as a friend said “wrestle and dress it” The kids did much of the work to get the tree up- unfortunately they didn’t get it set into the base very well and later that evening it tipped over but we got it back up and then anchored to the the wall with string. Note to self for next year – when 2 teenagers “helped” by a hurricane of a 3 year old put up a Christmas tree having redundant securing mechanisms in place is probably wise. Other than the tipping over part they did a pretty nice job and only asked for help a few times.
Hayden starts with the lights.
Abbi helps feed the lights around the back.
Here comes the little “helper”
I plugged the lights in and checked them as the kids put them on the tree.
The super helper.
The big kids decided there were gaps in the lights and I needed to “fix them” Caelun decided to help too.
This next section are pictures Abbi and Hayden took.
Yeah for “help”
Yeah for the stick your arm out and take a picture shot.
How cool is she??
Shazam!
She loves you all! Muh!!!
Hayden’s bored.
80% NAUGHTY- naaa not possible right? (wink)
They got bored taking pictures and decorating- so I am back. Look – more “help” from Miss Kitty.
TA DA!!!!!!!!
Now for the garland- did you say garland?– asks the super helper. Take note of the chocolate stains on the shirt from the ice cream break.
How does this work??
The shirt says - “80% NAUGHTY AND 20% NICE” Hmmm…
Yeah garland on!
Caelun got a bath and then gave the tree a complete inspection.
