Abbi’s First Day of Sophomore Year

Our awesome Abbi started 10th grade this year- yeah I know how did THAT happen?  She even grudgingly allowed me to take her picture on the first day of school. Not to brag- well okay I will brag it is my blog (wink) but she is as smart as she is beautiful. There will be posts for academic awards coming soon. Okay I will stop embarrassing her… for the moment. I can almost hear her eyes roll.

Levi- the ‘little kid’ across the street who was 5 and getting ready to start kindergarten when I bought my house is Abbi’s friend who gives here a ride to school and started his senior year this year.

And We add Bryar – Levi’s brother and also Abbi’s friend.

Off they head for the first day of school.

Abbi Turns 15

June 10th, 2011 the amazing young lady we refer to as our daughter turned a decade and a half old- crazy talk I know. We celebrated with cake, pizza, munchies, swimming, and a bon fire. It was a beautiful warm day to have a yard full of friends.

We were so excited to have Uncle Jake and Aunt Trish here all the way from North Dakota.

Memorial Day and the Marching Band 2011

We recently added a new park in our little berg- a Veteran's Memorial Park to be more specific and this past Memorial Day the Cedar Springs Marching Band played there while the flag was raised in honor of all who serve. Our Abbi did a wonderful job playing the flute as did all of the kids playing and participating. It was a beautiful, warm, sunny day, a lovey time to listen to the babble of the creek in harmony with the band, as we reflected on those who sacrificed to protect our country.
