This post is actually out of order as events go. My dear hubby’s fellow teachers put their heads together and decided to have a yard sale right after school was out for the summer. They graciously invited me to join them- if I had any stuff to get rid of- yeah right. It was a very successful sale I got rid of Abbi’s to small bike, an old chair and 2 big tubs of random clothes and such. The kids sold lemonade and soda with the profits going to the humane society. For the most part we had good weather. It rained one afternoon but we all wanted a break any way. We cleaned out our stuff we don’t use any more-passing it along to some one who can, put a bit of money in our pockets, and had a good time hanging out. The kids had a great time. They chased chickens, picked strawberries, climbed trees, and in general had a good “kid kind of time” I think we are thinking this could be an annual event. Enjoy the pictures of the goofy kids.

Up up and away… Rover takes a trip to Florida.
We headed out to Florida for spring break. We usually go during mid-winter break and go to my uncles in Key West but they shortened our mid-minter break to just a few days and then the uncles sold their house so new plans needed to be made. Mom-inlaw Rita gave us plane tickets for a Christmas present so we decided on spring break. Abbi’s break and ours didn’t line up. We suggested taking some personal days on our end and then she missing some school on the other but she was worried about getting behind. Grandma offered to take her on a separate trip to a concert and that to a middle schooler seemed like a good exchange. The next question was where to go. Our long time friends from college – Joel and Melissa Turmo- recently moved to Boca Raton and suggested we come for a visit. We flew into Orlando and saw some sights along the way. I was worried about Caelun flying – that being strapped down and all -but he was wonderful. I will do the trip in several installments.
Caelun on our way to the airport. Blue Fuzzy the special blanket was ready for the trip.
Amy B. took us to the airport.
Cae really liked to look out the window at all of the cool planes and trucks.
Our hotel across from Cape Canaveral- with a view of the launch site and a kiddy pool.
We walked along the beach and watched the sun set. You can see the launch site in the background. Rover seemed to like the view.

New Year’s Eve welcome 2009
We had a wonderful time ringing in the New Year with the Badovinic family. Some of you may recall Dan was best man at our wedding and Amy was chief of making things run smoothly. Amy also teaches at KCTC with Clint. Abbi was at her mom’s but Caelun had a great time playing with Thomas, Patrick, and Grace – Dan and Amy’s kids. We chatted, ate LOTS of wonderful Mexican food, and toasted the New Year with alcoholic and non- alcoholic champagne- and apple juice of course for Cae.
Dick Clark is on the TV
My social little boy was running and laughing almost continually. Can you believe he is this lively at 11 p.m.?
A nacho dip mad by Thomas for the occasion- I think that is a Star Wars character in the chili powder- cool huh?
Patrick hangs out
Caelun joins him
Cae visits Amy
Everybody just hanging out. Clint and I were snuggling on the couch- Cae came and joined us.
Grace and Thomas hide while Clint opens the champagne for fear of flying corks!
Is the coast clear?
The bottles are opened and no one is injured.
Dick Clark and all of us say Happy New Year!
Welcome 2009
