New Year’s Eve welcome 2009

We had a wonderful time ringing in the New Year with the Badovinic family. Some of you may recall Dan was best man at our wedding and Amy was chief of making things run smoothly. Amy also teaches at KCTC with Clint. Abbi was at her mom’s but Caelun had a great time playing with Thomas, Patrick, and Grace – Dan and Amy’s kids.  We chatted, ate LOTS of wonderful Mexican food, and toasted the New Year with alcoholic and non- alcoholic champagne- and apple juice of course for Cae.

The End Of Summer

Just before school started we went to our friends Dan and Amy's cottage. Abby was with her mom for the weekend, so we didn't have her along, but Caelun had a great time swimming and hanging out with Dan and Amy's "big" kids Thomas, Patrick, and Grace. It was a nice end to summer. Caelun starts off in the hot tub
Patrick and Grace think Cae is kind of funny.

Cae gets in the lake with Dan watching.
Thomas keeps and eye out for Caelun.

Amy helps him "jump" in while Grace watches- one...
two...

Three! Yeah into the water!

Do it again Amy!
Patrick and Grace greet Cae in the lake.
Yeah I did it again! Amy you are so cool!

Cool tube Grace!
See mommy I am a big boy!
Grace, I will push you.
Do I have to get out, just because my lips are purple?

Memorial Weekend Part II-Opening up the cottage with Dan and Amy

My parents came over for a belated Mother's Day lunch. Some how I didn't get any pictures of them. I guess it was all the hurrying home from planting the planters to make lunch. Memorial weekend is always when our friends Dan and Amy open up their cottage on Brady Lake. It is also Grace- their daughter's birthday. After lunch with my parents,we went and brought Grace a rock painting kit that all of the kids utilized. Amy got a "new" boat and they gave us a tour of the lake at sun set. We came back for a fire and the kids toasted marshmallows. Some of you will remember Dan and Amy from our wedding. Dan was best man and Amy was chief "gofer" - she really pulled things together for us. Amy teaches with Clint at KCTC. She is the person who let him know about the teaching position there.

It's Fun To Be One!

Caelun turned 1 on the 28th of April and I know it is hard to believe but it only took a year and we are all still alive. If the first year was this bad, heaven help us for the terrible two's. Actually the hard part seems to be behind us- not to put a kinahara on it. He seems to be less "broken" as we jokingly refer to him. Thanks to everyone who came, sent presents, and wished him well. It was a wonderful day and we took way to many pictures. I think if you scroll fast enough you can actually see him move.
Balloons!
Thomas and Patrick chow down while Abby runs from the camera
Grace, Grandma Del, and Grandpa Bob join in the day
Who needs toys?
Kris, Dan, Daddy, Cole, and Emily eat
Presents!
I like to rip paper!
Instruments that make noise!
Cole likes them to

Amy shows us how
Mommy why are all of you singing? That cake is on fire!
Are you people out of your minds?!
Got some frosting!
Pretty cake. I like ducks!
For me?

Let's eat!

How much cake do you think I can fit in my mouth at once?

Ducks and frosting!
Squish!
Yummy!

pucker up daddy!

You know you want a kiss
Is green my color?
Daddy says "this is how you know your mommy loves you more, I'm
not going to kiss that face."
Cake comma
Kisses! Emily is scared
I love you mommy!
Yeah a party and a bath!
But I like my shirt.
It is fun to be green but I like a bath.
Mr. Duck were you always blue?
Want a kiss?
My hands may be clean but you haven't gotten
my face!

Freshly bathed and ready to play with his new toys
Some of my students came to cheer on their mascot
Chewing a balloon? I wonder how that will work?
