The Chihuly glass exhibit was extended through Halloween at Meijer Gardens so we took the kids to enjoy some fall color and get one more look at the beautiful sculptures. We had perfect weather- in the 70’s and sunny and the gardens did not disappoint. As always there are too many pictures but the colors are so spectacular I just couldn’t help myself. I think all the kids really enjoyed themselves. Abbi and Hayden were able to walk around by themselves which is always pleasant for teenagers and Caelun found lots to climb on and places to run. Come with us for a fall color walk. The views are amazing.
A sample of the glass from the sculptures.
We look at an exhibit of how the glass is made and we run into some parents of one of Abbi’s friends form school.
The display of mums is really fantastic.
The sculptures set off with the fall colors are breathtaking.
As always Caelun finds the water.
Even with the water features at the children's garden closed until summer he manages to find the water. That is okay it was a warm day.
Oh the pumpkins!
And the views!
Hide and seek in the leaves.
Dinosaur is enjoying the day as well.
There are bridges to cross…
and places to investigate.
More beautiful trees with tails to walk.
Did I mention the amazing colors?
Abbi and Hayden- I am truly the “momarazzi” because this is with my zoom.
The tree houses from a distance.
Abbi and Hayden also like the bridges.
Caelun give one of the resident dragons a pet.
And a kiss.
And yet more kisses. I guess dragons can use all the love they can get.
More paths and pumpkins.
And yet more pumpkins!
What is this for???
Into the maze we go.
Oooo a bell!
Sculptures form The Jungle Book.
More water…
with DUCKS!
Everybody likes ducks.
Again the fall color sets off the glass sculptures.
It won’t be long and all the leaves will be down here.
Did I mention the abundance of pumpkins?
How cute are they?
Thanks for joining us on a fall color walk and Thank you Meijer Gardens and Dale Chihuly for the wonderful art. Hopefully you enjoyed it as much as we did.
