At any rate it has been an amazing thing and 2010 was only the 2nd year since its conception. I set out to take both of the kids plus Abbi’s boyfriend Hayden but at the last minute he couldn’t go so Abbi decided not to go as well. I had concerns about taking Caelun. I didn’t want him to damage anything but I still wanted to be able to get close enough to see things. I needn’t have worried. There we tons of interactive kid friendly pieces of art and for the rest I strapped him in the stroller. Gosh I love that stroller- we are on our second set of wheels we have used it so much. Any how we only scratched the surface of the art displayed at Art Prize but it was a wonderful experience.
Some stats for Artprize 2010
449,000 dollars- was awarded in prizes.1,713 artists participated representing people from 41 states and 21 countries. The art was displayed at 192 venues for a total of 19 days.

The voting is closed for this year but take a stroll and enjoy the exhibition. It is easy to tell which ones would have made Calun’s top 10.
The Art Bus to shuttle folks around
Now on to the green period
We walked back and forth across 2 of the bridges. The view of the Grand River was as nice as the art.
Nothing says fun art to a kid like sand.
There were painted pianos all over town that folks would stop and play.
Back across the river again.
This buy was really good. He was playing swing and Caelun was mesmerized- well when he wasn’t cheering.
I think the gentleman enjoyed the audience.
This was a set of sculptures made of birdseed.
This was one of the winners but the line was long to get to look at it.
This dragon was a Caelun favorite as well.
On the way back to the van we found a piano and Caelun got a turn.
Even the trash cans we created by artists.
Hope you enjoyed the stroll and the art.
