Pretty paper, pretty ribbons and pretty bows after Santa has landed.

We have discovered that Santa will slip in and slip  out even if you aren’t in bed asleep. He is just so fast we never catch him but we can certainly see the evidence of his presence. I like to wrap presents and I like to make bows so I have been known to give Santa and the elves some help (wink). The presets all so look more impressive when they are spread out so as not to smash the bows. We save the bows form year to year and re-use lots of them. Santa is so good he magically puts them on in a flash. You got to love that Santa guy. Abbi thinks it is funny that one of my jobs in college- and in fact on the side when I first started teaching -was to do gift wrap at a local full service department store. “You have done EVERYTHING- you were even a professional gift wrapper!” she says incredulously. I personally think being a life guard, a CNA,  a bartender, or the greeter at the Indian Casino were all jobs that were more impressive or at least more interesting to talk about but I am glad she is entertained. These pictures are mostly me playing with my camera trying to capture the beauty of all that effort in wrapping and decorating a tree before we say to all a good night.

Christmas Eve 057

Abbi is having a moment enjoying it as well. Clint always picks her up late on Christmas Eve from her mom’s and I love that moment when she walks in and sees what Santa left while she was on her drive home.

The stockings were hung with care… and as you can see Santa WAS there.

Oh my goodness, look at all those presents! No wonder I didn't get any I think Santa left mine at your house by mistake.
