We again rousted the boy to get on the road. Our intention was to stop at the Botanic gardens in Buffalo and then stay about an hour out of town after having done the gardens. Caelun had different plans. He decided he was pretty much done with vacation. We walked around the outside of the gardens for about a half hour when he decided he was DONE as only a 3 year old can decide. After much laying on the ground and crying we got him back in the van and headed toward home. We stopped for food and after eating he promptly fell asleep. Now this kid NEVER sleeps in the car. I was driving and Clint looked at me when we got to where we were going to stop for the night and Caelun was still asleep so he said – keep driving. I kept driving. I drove until we were almost out of gas and Caelun was still sleeping. We stopped for gas. Clint and I went to the bathroom, we changed Caelun’s butt and believe it or not that kid KEPT sleeping- so Clint took over and started driving. Caelun kept sleeping so Clint kept driving. Before we knew it we were in our driveway. I unbuckled Caelun and carried him upstairs to his bed and darned if he didn’t keep sleeping. I guess he was ready to be done with vacation. That’s good because so was Rover and so were we. It is good to go away and it is even better to come home.

We got home about 2 in the morning. Hurray for another Conley family vacation coming to a close.
