Summer vacation Part II- Rover goes to Massachusetts’s Old Sturbridge Village.

I am not sure how I got how out of order in posting but I did so this is the second leg of our vacation.

On our previous trips we have never ventured into MA so that sounded like fun. I have an old friend from high school that is now living there. We found a historical town/re-creation called Old Sturbridge and my friend and his significant other  agreed to meet us there. It was interesting and educational with plenty of interactive stuff for big and little kids alike. It wasn’t quite as amazing as Colonial Williamsburg but it also was a quarter of the ticket price so no complaints. The first order of the day involved getting Caelun out of bed. This is the first time we tried putting him in a regular bed. At home he still sleeps in his crib and we had the pack and play for the road but rather than setting it up we deiced to try the 2nd double bed in the room. It worked fabulously. I know there a a lot of pictures but humor me – he is was just so stinking cute.

Blue Fuzzy and his pillow pet Leopard also did fine in the big bed. (wink)

When we first entered Old Sturbridge We could put our face through and pretend we were colonial folks.

Or we could just have fun climbing and being goofy.

Isn't it funny the things kids latch on to? Caelun has sooooo many blankets. He has hand made ones - both fabric and crocheted/knitted from grandma's and aunts. He has expensive designer ones from friends and family from the various baby showers and HIS blankie was none of those. Blue fuzzy is a piece of fleece fabric with pinked edges that was thrown in free at a garage sale when I bought a full garbage bag of clothes. Go figure. :-)
