We do a Christmas time get together with Clint’s mom and step-dad. We don’t do presents and instead try to take some kind of a family vacation. The vacation details for us are still up in the air. Last year we took a trip to FL for spring break. The new airline restrictions may make it virtually impossible to fly with a 2 year old- I knew my students started referring to Caelun as “the wittle terrowist” for a reason- so we may be driving this year but that is for another post. We met at Clint’s sister Jodie’s new apartment here in our neck of the woods. The cousins had a great time playing skip-bo and hanging out with all their new iPods they got for Christmas. I got pictures of just about everybody but my wonderful sister in-law Missy. Don’t know how I missed her. We had wonderful food with a theme of food around the world. I wasn’t very creative and brought American macaroni and cheese but at least it was home made. I did bring hummus with fresh bread and guacamole so I guess I got appetizers out of the country. Dinner included, Greek, middle eastern, Mexican, Indian, and Asian fare. It was wonderful. There was a pretty good snow dump which was fun to watch out Aunt Jodie’s big window. It was, in general, a great time to hang out with family.
Tony and Caelun watch it snow.
Jodie, Rita, and Tony sit and chat.
Caelun is on the move while Bree is plugged into her iPod.
Tony gives Caelun a cuddle…
until he is off again.
Abbi and Cody compare their iPods.
Rita gives each of the kids a small gift to have something to open. Bree opens hers.
Cody and Abbi open theirs.
Cae-Cae got match box cars- look out.
Tony, Kyle, and Chris hang out.
Cody shows off his iPod to Tony.
Bree shows Aunt Jodie her new American Girl Doll.
Who is that wild boy- and where did his pants go?
You can’t catch me mommy!
Tony and Rita open gifts from Chris and Missy.
Time to go?
Grandma I am not going to make it easy to get my shoes on.
Bye!

Hi, Pam. Family get-togethers are wonderful, especially when celebrating holidays. The variety of food you described sounds so interesting--what fun to sample so many different dishes.
Happy new year. Joanie
