Gotta love lake effect snow. This Wednesday and Thursday- well and now today as well but that is for another post – the school I teach at has been closed due to inclement weather. My daughter had Wednesday and today off. Her school tired to do Thursday but sent the kids home shortly after noon -fearing they wouldn’t be able to get them home if they waited. Clint teaching for the tech. center is open if any schools are open so he battled the drive to teach somewhere between 0 and 3 students each day. Ah well at least he is getting paid- no complaints. So, what do you do with snow days?
First you build a snow person. Wednesday was more freezing rain and ice than a big snow dump but it made for some good packing snow.
Next you bake cookies. Abbi made these almost all by herself- and they turned out quite yummy- just ask her brother.
Caelun will share. 
Thursday the big snow started. This is the view out our front door Thursday morning. 
Then you dig out.
Clint and Abbi had school so Caelun and I went out to shovel.
What does it mean when your snow person gets snowed in?
The garden has some nice parts- even under all that snow.
