If you have a wild 4 year old – and you probably don’t but if you do - word of advice if it is late summer and you are canning and labeling the tops of the jars with a sharpie marker DO NOT leave the marker – even if the cap is on it – on the table while you take the jars to the basement unless you are looking for your wild 4 year old to create some original art work on your kitchen table, chairs, cupboards, and… himself.
For the record a long soak in a sudsy tub took most of it off.
